Nabatame Koichi (8 November 1933) is a Japanese-style painter from Ibaraki Prefecture.


He is a member of the Japan Art Academy and a representative director, coterie member and councilor of the Japan Art Academy. His father was the Japanese painter Nabatame Kosei. The poet Hanaka Kosei is his younger brother. Studied under Toshio Matsuo. His work is characterized by a delicate and elegant style based on sketching, and many of his works are based on flowers of the four seasons. He is known as one of the best painters of flowers among the living artists, of which the red rose is the most representative.
