Izumi Kato (born 1969) is a Japanese painter and sculptor from Shimane Prefecture.1 He studied oil painting at Musashino Art University and from his early work he has been producing oil paintings with motifs of foetal-like humans, and from around 2004 he also began producing three-dimensional works.
